It's nice to be able to get out of the routine and be able to breathe, especially higher altitude air, even though it makes me run out of breath just scraping snow off the windshield... or I'm outta shape. Just call me "pudgy". I don't think you ever really escape though, especially when you have cell phones. But sitting there in a house that someone has bought to rent out so that people like me can come and play in the snow and sit in their hot tub makes you think of all the people that don't get to enjoy luxuries like these. When people all over the country are losing their houses, these people have two maybe even three houses. It's crazy this world we live in. It just shows that no matter how hard we think we have it, how tough this economy seems to be on us, we still live in luxury, well at least that's what it makes me see.
In the end, it wasn't the location that made the trip great, but it was the people. Yeah the scenery was great, yeah the food was good, yeah the snow was nice, but it's the group of people we have the privilege to share these times with that make the moments and memories that stay with you. There is no way we could have the friends we do without being part of the most spectacular organization man has ever seen. Combine that with the power nature has on a person and that makes trips like this really refreshing. It sparks and imbues you with a great and easy feeling when you get home.
Sorry for the stray of my mind. :) ... Enjoy the pictures.

Pay no attention to the ridiculousness next to the fire... there is a GOOD story attached to it, though. Maybe if you ask I'll tell you about it.

That is just a random evergreen tree that we found at this house... that we might have disassembled... but that we didn't know disassembled... and it might have come crashing down... and ornaments may have scattered everywhere... and I might have stepped on one and broke it... maybe, just maybe...
